Cookie Policy.

Last Updated: 2026

1. Scope

This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used on drolvena.shop. It applies to the public pages, the consent banner, ordinary contact journeys and the map feature on the contact page. A cookie is a small text value stored by a browser or device. This policy should be read with the Privacy Policy, which explains broader information handling.

2. Why storage is used

Some storage is needed to deliver a page, remember a consent decision or maintain a requested interaction. Optional storage can help us understand broad page use and improve navigation. We do not use cookies to make promises about personal outcomes or to build a commercial reader profile. A browser can usually delete these values through its privacy controls.

3. Session cookie

The site may use drolvena_session as an essential session value. Its normal lifespan ends when the browser closes, although a hosting layer may apply a short technical expiry. It supports basic continuity between requests and is not intended to identify a named person. If it is blocked, some ordinary site functions may not behave as expected.

4. Consent cookie

The consent banner may store drolvena_consent for 180 days. The value records whether optional categories were accepted, rejected or left unchanged. It prevents the same choice prompt from appearing on every visit. Clearing the browser storage removes the value and may cause the banner to appear again.

5. Preference cookie

A value named drolvena_preferences may last for 12 months. It can remember limited display or interface choices that a reader has requested. It does not contain a health history, payment detail or advertising profile. Preference storage can be withdrawn through browser settings or by contacting [email protected].

6. Analytics cookie

If optional analytics are enabled, drolvena_analytics may remain for up to 13 months. It is used for broad measures such as page visits, approximate interaction patterns and technical performance. Analytics are not activated where a reader has declined the optional category. The data is reviewed in aggregated form and is subject to the provider’s own processing terms.

7. Cookie names and lifespans

The principal names are drolvena_session, session-end; drolvena_consent, 180 days; drolvena_preferences, 12 months; and drolvena_analytics, up to 13 months when enabled. A hosting, security or embedded-service provider may set an additional technical value with a different name. Such values are controlled by the provider’s service configuration. We review the cookie list periodically and update this page when a material change is identified.

8. Legal basis

Essential storage is used because it is needed to provide a page or respond to a requested interaction. Optional analytics and preference storage rely on consent where required by South African privacy rules. A reader can refuse optional categories without losing access to the editorial content. Withdrawal affects future storage, while technical records created before withdrawal may be retained under the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-party processors

Vercel may process technical request data for hosting and delivery. Google Maps may receive requests and set technology when its map is loaded or used. Google Fonts may process a request for font delivery, depending on browser caching and the page configuration. These providers operate under their own notices, and a reader should review them before interacting with an embedded feature.

10. International processing

Some hosting, map, font and analytics infrastructure may operate outside South Africa. Drolvena limits the information made available to the function being used and considers contractual and security safeguards. A transfer can include an IP address, browser details, page request or consent signal. Continued browsing after an optional choice is not required, and optional categories can be declined.

11. Browser controls

Most current browsers allow a reader to view, block, delete or limit cookies. Settings vary on desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones. Blocking all values may affect remembered preferences and basic interaction, but it does not necessarily stop every technical request. Readers should consult the help section for their browser if they need device-specific instructions.

12. Contact procedure

Questions about cookies may be sent to [email protected] or to WES Holding ApS, C/O Henrik Gavnbo Ekman, Islands Brygge 23, 5. tv, 2300 København S, Denmark. We acknowledge cookie enquiries within two business days and aim to answer them within ten business days. A request about personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.

13. Retention and deletion

Cookie values remain only for their stated lifespan unless a reader deletes them earlier. Server-side consent records, where maintained, are normally retained for 24 months after replacement or withdrawal. Technical security records are normally retained for 90 days. Aggregated reporting may be kept without a direct identifier where it is needed to understand long-term site performance.

14. Change log

This consolidated Cookie Policy was issued on 3 September 2026. On 1 June 2026, the cookie table was clarified with names and retention periods. On 15 August 2026, the international-processing and embedded-map sections were expanded. Future material changes will be dated in this section and reflected beside the page title.
