01 // A Johannesburg publishing desk

Drolvena began as a small editorial project in Johannesburg, shaped by the practical questions people ask when reading a supplement label. The platform gives those questions room, context and careful wording. It does not present itself as a source of personal health direction. Instead, it records ingredients, serving information, food context and public regulatory language in a format that is easier to follow.

The company behind the platform is WES Holding ApS, based at C/O Henrik Gavnbo Ekman, Islands Brygge 23, 5. tv, 2300 København S, Denmark. Our location informs the language, examples and South African references used throughout the site. Readers from other regions should consider that local rules and labelling conventions may differ. Every page is intended to be read as general editorial information.

“Good label reading starts with patient attention: name the ingredient, identify its form, note the quantity, then consider the wider context.”

02 // What the platform records

Ingredient language

Pages identify nutrients by their familiar name and, where supplied, their listed form. This helps readers distinguish a nutrient from an advertising phrase. Quantities are presented in the units used by the product specification. Unknown details are not filled in with invention.

Food context

Articles connect nutrient vocabulary with ordinary foods such as leafy vegetables, maize, eggs and fish. These references are descriptive rather than prescriptive. They provide a cultural and culinary setting for reading ingredient names. A balanced daily routine remains broader than any single product label.

Public references

Editorial notes point towards regulations, public agencies and recognised reference material where relevant. The wording is kept narrow so that a permitted nutrient statement is not expanded into a product promise. Publication dates are shown when a page has been reviewed. Corrections are recorded with care.

Neatly labelled Drolvena archive folders, nutrition books and dated research cards arranged on a muted blue shelf

03 // An archive, not a storefront

Drolvena is designed as an editorial information site. The navigation leads to product dossiers, background notes, methodology and accountability pages rather than a shopping journey. Product pages explain formulas as supplied for reference and do not create a transaction. This distinction is important because information should remain readable without pressure.

Our team uses a restrained visual system so that tables and paragraphs remain central. Cream backgrounds, steel blue links and clear headings support long-form reading. Photographs are used as documentary illustrations of ingredients, paper records and food settings. They are not presented as evidence of personal outcomes.

  • Read the ingredient register before the surrounding commentary.
  • Check the date and the stated reference source.
  • Compare a supplement description with ordinary food and lifestyle context.
  • Use the disclaimer and methodology pages to understand the site's boundaries.

04 // Origin timeline

  1. 2024 — Company record. WES Holding ApS was established as the platform's publishing entity.
  2. 2025 — Editorial framework. The publishing desk established a consistent approach for ingredient tables, references, dated updates and conservative wording.
  3. 2026 — Public index. Drolvena.info opened as an English en-ZA resource for readers comparing nutritional terminology and product documentation.
  4. Ongoing — Corrections. Reader messages are logged, checked against the relevant page and reflected through dated revision notes when a change is appropriate.

These milestones describe the platform's publishing history rather than a claim about any product. The archive is intended to show how the site has developed. It also makes clear that editorial work is revisable. A transparent correction is more useful than an impression of certainty.

05 // Key terms

Food supplement

A product presented as a concentrated source of nutrients or other permitted substances, used as part of everyday nutrition. The term does not make the product a medicine. Labels, directions and local requirements remain important. Drolvena uses the term descriptively.

Macular pigment

A phrase used in nutrition writing for naturally occurring pigment compounds associated with the central area of the retina. Drolvena does not turn this biological description into a promise. Readers should treat it as background vocabulary. It is one term among many in the ingredient record.

NRV

NRV means Nutrient Reference Value in the tables used on this site. It is shown as a reference convention where the specification supplies it. A percentage is not a personal target. It should be read alongside the serving information.

Editorial note

An editorial note is a dated explanation prepared for general readers. It is not an individual assessment. The writer's task is to describe the available material accurately. Readers can contact the desk when a statement appears unclear.

06 // Accountability in practice

Accountability means identifying who publishes the page and how to reach the publishing desk. WES Holding ApS can be contacted at [email protected]. Postal correspondence may be sent to C/O Henrik Gavnbo Ekman, Islands Brygge 23, 5. tv, 2300 København S, Denmark. Hours are Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET.

Messages about factual corrections should include the page address, the sentence in question and a suggested source where possible. We aim to acknowledge ordinary editorial messages within three business days. A substantive review may take up to ten business days because the underlying record must be checked. The outcome is communicated plainly, including when a proposed change is not adopted.

Reading note.

Drolvena is an independent editorial platform. Its pages provide general information and should be considered alongside the disclaimer, privacy policy, cookie policy and terms of use.

07 // A practical reading route

New readers can begin with the homepage and then select the product dossier that matches the ingredient group they want to understand. The methodology page explains how the material is assembled. The disclaimer identifies the boundaries of general information. The legal pages explain site use and information handling.

  • Start with the date and page title.
  • Read the table without skipping units or serving notes.
  • Separate ingredient description from approved nutrient wording.
  • Follow the source links and retain questions for a qualified professional where needed.

This route keeps the reader focused on evidence and context rather than presentation alone. It also reduces the risk of taking a short phrase out of its surrounding explanation. Drolvena's design supports this slower pace. The goal is a durable public reference with an ordinary, transparent tone.

08 // Future entries

Future articles may add food composition notes, label-reading guides and explanations of nutrient forms. New entries will follow the same editorial boundaries. They will use South African English and identify the date of publication. No new page will be used to imply a personal outcome or replace individual advice.

The archive will also preserve a distinction between company information and independent writing. Commercial relationships, if ever relevant to a page, should be described openly. Readers will not be asked to confuse a product reference with a recommendation. This is part of the platform's identity.

09 // Contact and corrections

For a correction, accessibility request or general editorial query, email [email protected] during Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal details in a first message. We will request only the information needed to understand the enquiry.

The desk records a short internal note about the request and its outcome. Routine acknowledgements are targeted within three business days. Complex source checks are targeted within ten business days. Urgent legal correspondence is routed to the company contact at C/O Henrik Gavnbo Ekman, Islands Brygge 23, 5. tv, 2300 København S, Denmark.
